Redshield Estates is located in the Tuli Block in South Eastern Botswana. The farm borders on the Limpopo River in the South and touches on the Moutloutse River in the East.

Directions from Gauteng

Either find and then follow the Limpopo River until you see the modern and tourist-friendly Platjan border crossing (pictured above) or.....

Head north on the N1 to PIETERSBURG, which is about 3hrs drive north of Johannesburg. At the entrance to Pietersburg, follow the sign to DENDRON, a left turn. Follow these signs all the way around Pietersburg and remain on the 521 heading due north through Dendron and Vivo to ALLDAYS.

Alldays is about 150km north of Pietersburg and is the last town you will be able to buy petrol or diesel (on either side of the border!). It also has a very basic general food store, a good farm supplier and a good butcher. At the entrance to ALLDAYS you will come to a T-Junction. At this T-Junction, turn right then almost immediately turn left onto the R 572. Do NOT miss this turn or else you will be headed for Pont Drift.

Follow the main road (R572) out of town. About 3 km out, there is a sand road turn to the right to DARDENELLAN. The road is an easy drive and about 35km from the right turn to the PLATJAN Border post. From Alldays onwards you may see game next to and even in the road, so be on the lookout as you are now in the "real" bushveld.

After crossing the border, it is sand road all the way. Turn right at the first T-Junction and stay on the road for approx. 30km until you see the REDSHIELD sign on your right. If you see the Talana sign, you've gone too far.

Please drive safely on the sand roads as both domestic and wild animals use it too.
